The Christian's Reasonable Service, Vol. 3
by
"For me, the most thorough treatment of the Ten Commandments in that it is theologically very strong and at the same time pastoral, looking at real life application."

Reformed Ethics, Volume 2: The Duties of the Christian Life
by
"This isn't a well-rounded treatment of the Ten Commandments, but is often very stimulating and insightful. Offers something different from other Reformed commentaries."

Commentary of Dr. Zacharias Ursinus on the Heidelberg Catechism
by
"Thorough and theologically rich, dealing with each commandment in a Q&A format that envisages potential objections and deals with them. More academic than pastoral, and another book to reference rather than read cover-to-cover."

Institutes of Elenctic Theology (Vol. 2)
by
"Turretin's commentary doesn't deal with the Ten Commandments in general but instead answers objections that were prominent in his day (particularly Roman Catholic interpretations) as he goes along."

The Institutes Of The Christian Religion (Volume 1)
by
"A concise commentary on each of the Ten Commandments. A good introduction as it is as theologically informed as any other commentary, yet does not go into great detail."

Ten Commandments
by
"Another theologically robust yet pastorally-minded treatment of the Ten Commandments. This is also written in a Q&A format, raising and answering questions the reader might have, but the questions are often more to do with how to apply the commandments."

The Rule of Love: Broken, Fulfilled, and Applied
by
"A short book which follows the same structure for each commandment. It looks at the commandment in its historical context and redemptive context before looking at how Christ fulfils each commandment and how each commandment subsequently relates to us."

Written in Stone: The Ten Commandments and Today’s Moral Crisis
by
"An easy-to-ready yet theologically informed contemporary book on the Ten Commandments written for a Christian to read today. Another book that does not go into great detail on the theology of each commandment, although the understanding of the theology is clearly there. Personally, I found this the most helpful of the contemporary books."

The Good News We Almost Forgot: Rediscovering the Gospel in a 16th Century Catechism
by
"This book is a short commentary on the Heidelberg Catechism as a whole, which includes commentary on Heidelberg's Q&s on the Ten Commandments. Short, helpful sections. Deyoung has since published a book solely on the Ten Commandments for contemporary Christians, but I haven't read it."
