Isn't it great? I've become kind of a McEwan obsessive over the past year. I think this one is my favorite.

I liked Atonement, but I wasn't as high on it as some of his other stuff. My other favorites are On Chesil Beach (it's short, and it has kind of a similar time structure to Saturday) and The Innocent. He also wrote a really good children's novel called The Daydreamer. I didn't expect his style to transfer to writing for kids as well as it did.
