But for anyone who loves the same type of books, please add some books by your favorite authors to the list.
"World" mystery: those based somewhere else than the usual LA or NYC, or US.
But if it's a really, really, really strongly location oriented, and moves around some US location (maybe among the foreign communities, or other subcultures) I guess it could make the list. Harry Bosch makes a great LA detective, but for adding a book to the list, it would have to be 200 % more LA and location in everything than him.
So books by authors and heroes somewhere else. Anywyere - Sweden, Japan, Brazil, Finland, Sicily, Spain, Mexico, Argentina, South Africa, Portugal, China...
(Ideally books that have been translated into English too)
