"While a little complex to read through, it covers almost all issues of grammar, punctuation, and style that can trip even the best of writers. Good resource if only to become aware of all the mistakes we, as writers, don't realize we make."

"A great book that talks about Joseph Campbell's Hero with a Thousand Faces and relates the concepts of the archetypal hero to how to structure a story. Interesting examples given on how this structure was used in many famous movies (Star Wars anyone?) and how writers can use the techniques to craft a story that follows this formula. Even if one hates formulaic stories, this is good reading to help understand the flow of stories and even help to write oneself out of a corner if the plot/story doesn't appear to be going anywhere. (I've used it in this way a few times.)

There are several volumes. This one here is the 2nd volume (though, there is a 3rd volume out as well). I read the 2nd and own the 3rd. There's not too much of a difference between the two, except that the font face in the 3rd is smaller and harder to read..."
