I would agree on Out of the Dust -- really interesting poems that weave a powerful story. Haven't reach Walk Two Moons but Love That Dog by Sharon Creech was great.

Out of the Dust was truly one of the most amazing books I've ever read! Walk Two Moons is wonderful as well- definitely one you should put on your list to read!
