The Two Princesses of Bamarre (The Two Princesses of Bamarre, #1)
by
"It's about a young woman who is not courageous to begin with learning to find courage. Addie is not a typical "not like other girls" heroine- she's EXACTLY like "other girls"- and it's the TYPICAL "not like other girls" character who is in need of rescue, not Addie. The book is about a young woman learning to find courage and strength within herself to save a sister she loves, and utilizing both "feminine" skills- such as sewing tapestries, and "masculine" skills- such as swordplay-to do so. The story, rather than being about putting other women down and shaming femininity, is about a woman growing and overcoming cowardice and that she, too, can be powerful. "
