However, based on what's list on Goodreads, "Generation V" doesn't seem to qualify? Can you explain to me the situation of this series? Is any of the 4 books actually just a companion book?

Oh, I didn't realize there were 4 books now. I thought there were only three! Sorry! I will delete my vote.

No worries! Still deeply appreciated your participation! Perhaps if a lot of books that weren't exactly meeting the requirement were accidentally added, I'll compile a list in the comment area so people would still know others are recommending them despite not being trilogies! :3
