"The Fate system is a good one, and this is my favorite iteration of it. The cluster generation system is also one of the more interesting setting generators for a sci-fi game that I've ever seen."

"Pretty much the pinnacle of traditional FRPG design as far as I'm concerned. Just enough crunch to keep tactical combat interesting while still being easy to remember. Mechanics that make every fight deadly while still allowing players to take heroic risks."

"There still aren't many games where you roleplay generations of characters in the same family. You do in this one. Every gamer should at least try to play the Great Pendragon Campaign with this at some point.

This would probably be higher ranked on the list but votes are currently split between two editions. I don't actually have this one, but it's the higher ranked of the two listed, so I put my vote on this one."

Just be aware that there are some mature themes here."

"Indie before indie existed. The diceless resolution mechanic was a real eye-opener when it came out, and probably still would be for anyone who has only played traditional games.

Lords of Gossamer & Shadow may replace this, as I understand it's more or less the same game without the Amber IP."

"Refines the unique dice mechanics introduced in Warhammer FRP 3rd Edition and makes them work.

The best attempt yet to capture the feel of Star Wars, but if you don't like Star Wars, you could probably skip it."
