Igor Goldkind “From The Man Who Popularized The Graphic Novel, Something Else Entirely…IS SHE AVAILABLE? by Igor Goldkind…”
-- Bleeding Cool

A ground breaking, transmedia tour-de-force of Poetry, Art, Music and Movement by acclaimed comics and SF author Igor Goldkind, is being published in both electronic format on April1st, 2015 by Chameleon Publishing and in a limited hard cover edition, on June2nd.

“It was Goldkind who popularized the phrase “graphic novel” with the media and found that gave them permission to cover the rather previously-considered rather childish medium of comic books.… Now, Goldkind’s vision of what graphic novels could be, is returning.”

Not with a comic, or a graphic novel, but something else: IS SHE AVAILABLE?“A book of Poetry and comic strips, illustrated by some of the greatest and the good of those in comic books who he has known along the way. And which does something very new as well: transforming the medium.”—Bleeding Cool

IS SHE AVAILABLE? is a web-nurtured collaboration between Igor Goldkind and 26 artists, sculptors and musicians from the world of Comics, Fantasy, Fine Art and Jazz, such as Rian Hughes, David Lloyd, Liam Sharp, Glenn Fabry, Shaky Kane, Lars Henkel, Mario Cavalli, DIX, Wendy Farrow, Mario Torero and more. The work features an original cover and illustrations by popularly acclaimed artist Bill Sienkiewicz (Elektra Assassin, Dare Devil). World-renowned Jazz composer Gilad Atzmon, interprets Igor’s Spoken Word with an original Jazz music score.
Eminent graphic designer, typographer, and comics illustrator, Rian Hughes is the master designer for the cutting edge IS SHE AVAILABLE? Hughes is responsible for the distinctive looks of comics 2000 AD, Vertigo, Dan Dare and more.
