"The book definitely started off slow for me, but the way Cassandra Clare developed this plot is phenomenal. Literally one of the better teen fiction books! Don't watch the movie, because it's an awful representation of the story line. Trust me, by the time you get through the first five books, you'll be begging for book six, Heavenly Fire. "

"This book is incredibly well written. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know good literature. If you're not a fan of sexual writing, don't read it. It's explicit, but not smut, and involves a large number of in-depth sex scenes throughout all three novels. Suzanne Collins has an incredible vocabulary - so keep your pocket-sized Webster near by. Still, the plot line is just enough to keep the reader interested, though it's not original. A great read, nonetheless. "
