I read Mary Queen of Scots sometime ago. I find Margaret George to be one of my favourite authors of historical fiction.
The vivid writing of Mary's secretaries' murder has stuck in my mind, the brutality was horrendous.
I enjoyed this book so much I went on to read Margaret George's Henry VIII written by his Fool Will somers. Another terrific read.
