This totally made me laugh. I'm glad it is not just me with the Twilight stuff. I almost thought I might read it just to see what all the hoopla was about but can't justify spending money on it. I saw the author on Oprah a while back and her whole back-story on writing the series seems rather fishy (it all came to her in a dream and she wrote in secret after never writing anything in her life). I think the publishers conducted focus groups on what would sell and then had the book written and gave her this elaborate story to make it seem even more "magical."
