I remember the first time I read The Great Gatsby and fell in love with the book. The scene with the books on the shelf in the study will always stick with me. The books were untouched and a facade. I loved the meaning and imagery of that scene. That book as well as The Scarlet Letter and the poem To His Coy Mistress are among my favorite reads.
