Asimov's Guide to Shakespeare, Vols. 1-2
by
"I enjoy reading this book every time I pick up another play by Shakespeare I like to read Dr. Asimov's literary criticism. Asimov is a fantastic writer in my opinion and to be able to enjoy his writing outside of the more familiar genre of Sci-Fi is a great way for me to learn more about another of my favorite authors.

Imagining Shakespeare: A History of Texts and Visions
by
"This book is in my collection as a 'To Read.' It's a very different approach than the other literary criticisms I've focused on as I learn Shakespeare - this one traces the evolution of how the plays were portrayed historically on stage. The performance and staging aspect is a new approach to learning Shakespeare for me.
