"A truly great beginning to a legendary series. That first description of mossflower country and redwall sitting like a dusky red gem on fields of green sent shivers down my spine, Brian jacques is truly a poet. While the main character is your typical hero he does great moments and is supported by a fantastic cast of supporting characters,like basil stag hare and Constance badger. And let not us not forget the villains, my god do I love the villains from the treacherous cheese thief, the mighty serpent asmodeus and Cluny the scourge who is easily one of my favorite villains from this series. The story itself is classic fantasy in every sense except that it's told through eyes of small woodland creatures. In conclusion it's a great book and if you have not read it, Do it now!"
