A Wizard of Earthsea (Earthsea Cycle, #1)
by
"Ursula K. Le Guin is an author who describes people, places and happenings brilliantly. Details don't seem to be there just for the sake of it, but they have a point. She manages to make her worlds and characters much more believable this way. This is the first book. Read it, and see whether it caught your interest or not. I know some will dislike her way of skipping time in this book trilogy. "

Out of the Silent Planet (The Space Trilogy, #1)
by
"C.S. Lewis is excellent at writing fantasy besides Narnia. This book series is a great example of a sci-fi fantasy story he has invented. It's definitely worth reading. His imagination truly comes to life in these books. This is the first book in the trilogy. Read it and see if you think the rest is worth reading too. "

The Silmarillion
by
"Silmarillion and all of Tolkien's work is worthy of this list, but I added this book because it inspires others to understand the significance behind the universe he created. It might be very filled with facts, but it's greatly so at the same time. "
