Charly
by
"I listened to this book a few nights ago. It still had an impact on me. Charly is a young woman, who was converted to the church. She ended up married to a young LDS man. They lived a little different kind of life, than other LDS couples, but they were deeply committed to the church and to each other. Charly was loved by all those who knew her. She developed cancer, and died. It's a very touching story.

Fire of the Covenant: The Story of the Willie and Martin Handcart Companies
by
"Gerald Lund did a great job of telling the story of the Willie and the Martin Handcart Companies. Through my research on my genealogy, I learned that several of my ancestors were members of the resuce party. The journals of Robert Taylor Burton were used as part of the research for this book. It's a very moving tell of these LDS pioneers, who were caught out in the mountains in the snow and cold of winter.
