Ah well, the same goes for Henry Fielding. But in spite of this, I still like this list :-)

There are books on this list which I've read and can't for the life of me think why they would be considered funny. But then again, that's all a matter of opinion, I guess.

By the way, I too love Jane Austen's wit and (very) sharp pen.
