Listopia > Man Booker Prize Eligible 2012
Since it proved popular last year, I'm starting another list for novels eligible for this year's Man Booker Prize.
Please do not add a book unless you are fairly sure it is eligible according to the official rules (see: http://www.themanbookerprize.com/prize/about/rules-and-entry) Basically that means any full-length novel by a citizen of the Commonwealth, the Republic of Ireland or Zimbabwe, written in English and published in the UK between 1 October 2011 and 30 September 2012.

2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010

Isn't Charlotte Rogan American? I'm not sure The Lifeboat is eligible. Although I did read and enjoy it!
The shortlistNarcopolis by Jeet Thayil (Faber & Faber)
Swimming Home by Deborah Levy (And Other Stories)
Bring up the Bodies by Hilary Mantel (Fourth Estate)
The Lighthouse by Alison Moore (Salt)
Umbrella by Will Self (Bloomsbury)
The Garden of Evening Mists by Tan Twan Eng (Myrmidon Books)
Pretty sure that Rebecca and 1984 (the only two I've read on the list, which is why I noticed them) aren't eligible for this year's Booker. Am I okay to remove them?
Yes please James. Also Labyrinth, Beloved, Sanctus, The Book of Human Skin, The Sky's Dark Labyrinth, The Canterbury Tales, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Clockwork Universe! I think Mike must have voted on the wrong list!
