Yes, it is!

Matter of taste, simply ignore it. I don't understand the fascination with Twilight (or for that matter it's clones about cute, nice, sad, romantic vampires). I simply pass over it and figure it's a lot like literary Big Macs. I'm happy for the people who enjoy them and I'm sure Ms. Meyer cries all the way to the bank that I don't care for her works. Life.

just noticed that on the can't wait books for 2009 Ms Meyers 'Midnight Sun' makes an appearance there as well. Does it mean we will continually have Midnight Sun in the lists until she finally gives in and publishes the book or until the fascination wanes? I am going with until the fascination wanes.

In some cases, it was never there. (sigh) Oh well, I'm happy for the ones who enjoy them I suppose.

I can't wait for the third hunger games and the next vampire academy and the book called lies the first two were so good!!!!!!!!! i am going to be sad when the trilogy is over same goes for hunger games.

I still dont know what what hunger games is all about....can someone fill me in?

The first one concerns a society where the government is a despotism. It is roughly a medieval/modern fantasy, a post-apocalyptic type world with things like TV but people living in simple more primitive ways (the capitol and so on are of course peopled by a privileged class. One of the "controls" on the people are the Hunger Games. It forces young people to participate in a game to the death. A lottery determines one youth from each different province who are dropped in a "game zone" to try to survive (and kill each other) only one may come out alive.

That's a quick and dirty synopsis of the first book...it is a series. i read the first and will probably read the second soon, others here of course have read the entire series.

Well, I'm an "old guy" and I like the first one as well as you "young folks" so that might seem to say it has very wide appeal.

Cannot wait for Bitterblue or The Reckoning. I haven't read Hunger Games or Catching Fire (YET, please give me time) but I expect after I read I'll get excited about the third book.

YAY! Spirit Bound and the Reckoning! May will be a B-E-A-Utiful reading month! Still have to read the 2nd Hunger Games. Please no more Twilight! I liked it at first but everywhere I turn its either Midnight Sun or the movie is coming out! Oh and the Soul? Seriously? No thank you.
