Launch Recap for Accelerated Growth Environment

Last Thursday, March 12, I had a lovely time at Books on the Bosque, one of the local indie bookstores here in Albuquerque, to celebrate the release of Accelerated Growth Environment!

Teffeau will be in conversation about her novella Accelerated Growth Environment. The table includes a promotional flyer, copy of the book, and promotional postcards. A lectern for the reading is positioned beside the table. Image courtesy of Rae Oestreich

I had been to a handful of readings there in the past for other authors, but this was the first time I had an event of my own there. The staff was amazing, and I was thrilled with th

"I read this novella for the indie novella competition, SFINCS. The following review is my own personal opinion as a judge and does not reflect the views of the team as a whole.

A Hunger with No Name by Lauren C. Teffeau is a contemplative post-apocaly" Read more of this review »

“...humans are fallible. Fallible for putting all their trust into the network. Fallible for not believing what they see with their own eyes. And we at Aventine use that to our advantage.”
Lauren C. Teffeau, Implanted

“Over-reliance on digital infrastructure. If you don't exist in the infrastructure, where do you exist?”
Lauren C. Teffeau, Implanted

“It's true connection has a cost...The messy infrastructure can barely keep pace with the demands of the implants place on it. Not to mention security risks., malware, and emotional bleed - the kind that incapacitates or breeds paranoia instead of bringing people together.
Drawbacks we blindly put up with in our search for efficency and escape.”
