Kathleen Powers Vermaelen's work has been published in The Bangalore Review, The Southampton Review, and other publications. She earned her M.F.A. in writing at Stony Brook Southampton. In 2018, her book Publicize This: Promoting Your Group or Nonprofit on a Limited or Nonexistent Budget won the National League of American Pen Women's Marjorie Davies Roller Nonfiction Award. She teaches English courses to undergraduate students online and on Long Island, where she lives with her husband and two sons.
