Born and raised in Sumskwut Gulch, JJ McGeester is the ninth child of Rufus and Edna McGeester, who never really noticed him on the farm. As a present on his seventh birthday, JJ received two gerbils—both boys—until Gerry the Gerbil gave birth to eight healthy gerblings. Always thinking, JJ started gerbil-farming, raising world-class gerbils for circuses around the globe. Famous gerbils like “Ferdinando del Fuego” who holds the world-record for longest motorcycle jump through fire performed by a gerbil, or “Aquana the Breathless” who once swam underwater from the North Pole to the South Pole and back again, or “Camella” who watched ninety-nine episodes of “Party Gerbils of St. Tropez” without having to take a single bathroom break.
