Let’s start with one thing: I adored Divergent. I thought it was well-written and interesting and I was glued to the book from start to finish. Then, with really high expectations, I read Insurgent. Like its predecessor, I couldn’t put it down… but it was for the wrong reasons, mainly being that I wanted to read something else.
