[close] This is a good book with developed and different characters that add different elements to the story. This is because there are a lot of supporting characters. It has a very classic storyline and its a very classic book but it's still enjoyable today. If you've seen the movie I would recommend reading the book as it has a different tone. The movie is slightly darker then the book. The book also includes some events that make the story more interesting.

Book is very different to the movie. You can like one but hate the other. I like both but I believe the book is better the story makes more senses and doesn't diverge from what Tolkien wanted to write unlike the movie. ...more
