I loved this book. It was an easy, yet emotional read. I enjoy this type of reading in bed before I fall asleep. It reminded me a bit of my own childhood; to have a stepmother become responsible for me, and to be so young as to not understand what that might mean for myself. As an adult now, my heart really feels for those outcast fire kids. While I was reading I found myself on the side of the twins. I also feel for Lillian who had some major adult decisions to work though. Emotional A++ from m ...more

I listened to this book instead of reading a hard copy. The combination of the silly plot and the narrator were very fun. It really didn't go anywhere but I enjoyed the ride. Amusing listen. ...more
