Most of the time while I was reading, this thought kept recurring to me: "Yes, it is very exciting, intriguing, a real page-turner ( I couldn't put it down except with difficulty) and on top of that hilarious in may scenes. But: why was it chosen by so many crime-novel writers as her "masterpiece" ?" Then, I had to agree when I reached the last chapter.
Outstanding story, let alone being very entertaining and really funny.

One of the only Poirot mysteries I never read as a kid (and I read a lot of Christie). Fantastic twist.

Listened to audio version of this. This is my first Agatha Christie book that I've read in years. Probably since high school. I really enjoyed this one. Puts me in the mood to want to start reading Christie again. Part of the 1001 books list. ...more
