My feelings about A Tale of Two Cities are so well summed-up by E.M. Forster, I have to cut and paste this quote here:

I read this in 9th grade English. I really should give the book more stars because I like it much more now, in retrospect, than I liked it at the time. I remember not being up to date on the assigned reading and having a quiz and I would answer that everything foreshadowed teh storming of the Bastille (of course once that happened I had no more safe, go to answers!) Some day when I'm old and rich and I have tons of time I'm going to re-read all these books and see what I really think of them now
