This is a really important book. I think that even now in 2012 the events of September 2001 are still difficult to come to terms with. This book made me uncomfortable in so many ways. Sort of like when someone you hardly know points out your character flaws, you don't want to acknowledge it but you know it's true.

Writing style flowed and the narrative by the protagonist had my attention from the very first page. Quite different from other books that I have read in the past. I don't have to agree with the outlook in a book to have enjoyed it. If the book has enabled me to look at life differently and/or empathise with a character then the book has served its purpose which this book did.
