I went back and forth between giving this book two and four stars and finally landed on four because I think it achieved what it was trying to do. It was a novel of true obsession and I would argue that passion was never really found.

Wow! Never have I read a book like "The Passion". I don't even know where to start on my review. Although some individuals may be initially turned off by this book because of some of the explicit passages, it is definitely worth looking past though and looking at the deeper meaning behind much of what Winterson writes. From religion, to passion, to love, to loyalty, to life, to lonely to death, Winterson really does touch on all of them and makes you look at everything about your life a bit diff
