Fascinating dystopian novel, a lot of elements of our future are probably in this story. Of course it didn't really have an ending, this being the first in a trilogy, and I will most likely read two and three.

Yep. Very good, am on to the next one ...
A great post-apocalypse story with a very believable set of characters. The story seems to be more of the back story, of who the main three characters were and the author makes you believe in them.
I tried to read this a while ago and gave up after the first page, but it turns out it wasn't as vague as my first impression. Snowman (aka Jimmy) recounts his history with Oryx and Crake leading up to the mass destruction of human life.

Not the best Atwood I've ever read nor the best apocalyptic fiction ever. But good enough that I'll definitely pick up the sequel.

took too long to get to the sights of the ruined world. too much melodrama with the best friend and the beloved girl. bogus!
