the movie is soooooooooooo drastically different from the book that i think the book is worth the read. i enjoyed the ending although there are certain aspects to it that i really wished it could have been done without. i got annoyed with the "reluctant hero" storyline but i can understand Gordon's fear of what he was getting himself into and wanting to run away from it--i just sorta wish he'd shut up about it! personally, i actually liked the weirdo-feminist-death-corps thing...sorta margaret a ...more
