I love this series. I really, really love this series. I think I actually loved Deadline more than Feed, which surprised me, because I was pretty angry at the ending of Feed and determined to be hateful toward the author and upset through all of Deadline.
Except I wasn't. I loved the writing. I loved the action. I most especially loved the characters, which drive this series and make you hurt for them, cheer for them, and most of all, feel a kinship with them.

Deadline, the second book in Mira Grant's "Newsflesh" trilogy, lives up to the promise of the amazing first installment; Feed, and out-does it. I don't want to ruin any of the many surprises in store for you, I just can't do that. If you've read "Feed" by all means; read this one. Mira Grant delivers and then some.

A long parable about the Patriot Act and giving up freedom for (assumed) safety. I really liked Feed, Deadline not so much. Spoiler alert - A lot of repetition and the introduction of cloning to any text is a weak out for the author.
