This book is so good!!! I absolutely loved it so much! I think it is definitely one of the three, if not the best book I have ever read. It got so exciting toward the end that I stayed up till 2:30A finishing it. I don't think I have been so engrossed in a book since the last Harry Potter book or the last Dark Tower book. This was a Phenominal Read. Massive book, but she sucked me right in. Love the Scifi, body snatchers concept which she gave new light to. I was hesistant to read Meyer since what is popular does not usually appeal to me. She nailed it in Host. Love it.

The start and premise of The Host is promising, but as the story develops, the black and white nature of Wanda becomes a bit tiresome and irritating. I was intrigued by the potential laid within the story, but disappointed in its lack of fruition. In its simplicity of interpretation, it sidelines character growth and in the end does not learn the lessons it aims to teach.

In an especially infuriating turn, the point is proven when choices made by Wanda's friends prove that they still see her as

Once again, great storytelling, but poor writing. I'll be interested to try to read her work in a few years to see if it has improved. ...more
