This is an absolute stunner in every sense of the word--rich prose, tight plotting, and imaginative twists and turns.

The Company has manufactured biotech that wreak havoc upon the City. The actions of Mord, a man-made bear-like creature, and his proxies cause the Magician and her pseudo-children to rebel.

I mostly listened to this one, just read the last 40 or so pages, but man, it's good. The narration was fantastic, she got Borne's voice perfectly distinct. The writing is poetic and a little weird, and overall great. (Much like everything else VanderMeer has written.)
Definitely a good new sci fi/weird fiction/whatever the kids are calling it these days.
