Cinder lives in New Beiijing and works as a mechanic. SHe is a cyborg and therefore property of her stepmother. Her life changes one day when Prince Kai walks into her shop for her to repair his android. A modern re-telling of the Cinderella story, its twists and imaginings in a post war society is fascinating.

One of the only books that I've had the pleasure/displeasure to deal with.
I'll be honest, I was curled up in a ball internally screaming for the majority of the time I was reading this book. *screamed externally twice* Of course I hated the suspense throughout the book but I loved it so much. Cinder was an extremely likeable character. She was strong, clever, and humbled by a humbl

When I first read the synopsis for this book, I wasn't too thrilled about reading it. I'll admit that it sounded silly and a little crazy, in all honesty. Cinder is a sci fi/dystopian novel but when I was reading it, it felt more like a sci fi novel. There are hovers instead of cars, android, cyborgs (which is what the prot

Pretty good. I literally did not know what I was getting into when I started reading this. All I knew was that it was supposed to be a kind of Cinderella re-telling. It had a huge interesting twist to it though. Totally not what I expected, better.
Like, waaaaaaay better.
