I finished this book in 2 days. WOW!!! Such a good continuation to the first book. All of the characters were the same with new ones as well. Many new events happening that kept you at the edge of your seat. I was enthralled from the very first page. I didn't go to sleep til 4 am both nights because I couldn't put the book down. Seriously, this is one series you don't want to miss out on!!!

I’m really sad that I didn’t enjoy City of Ashes. This is the first time I have had to push myself to finish a book in a series that I have been so excited to continue after reading the first one. I just couldn’t get into this book at all. There is no way I can give a full review over this book, as I am sure it would just be extremely ranty and I really don’t want to type all of that out.

Ooh, book ends on cliffhanger. Megan--"No!! Why must authors do this to me!" *collapses on floor sobbing*

I didn't think City of Ashes was as great as City of Bones but it didn't fail to make me love the story and want to read more of the series. City of Ashes was a fantastic continuation of the story of Clary Fray and the rest of the crew. I love Clary's best friend, Simon is just too fun not to like, and though things change between the two of them, I know Simon will always be there for Clary when she needs him.
