Once upon a time there was a girl (me!) who was curious about a certain book named Uglies by Scott Westerfield. She had seen that many people had read it so she decided to read that too...

"Uglies" is about a girl named Tally who is about to turn pretty on her 16th birthday but her best friend runs away and Tally is not allowed to turn pretty until she brings her friend back. Let me start by saying Tally was not my favorite female character. Probably my biggest problem with this book was the main character. She betrays her friend not once, but twice.
