Shelves: ok-books, disappointment, dystopia, action

This book was... okay. Sort of. I mean, it was a quick read that did its job as an action-packed dystopia novel.. but that's it basically. And I wanted more.

There were quite a few things I found utterly annoying about this book. I'll name a few:
1. The writing. Ough I hate the way this book was written!! It was way too informative and packed with dry descriptions. I found myself craving more emotions, more feelings, more drama. Terrible things happened but were related to as matter of fact. That ...more

I really didn’t like this novel! And I strangely feel bad about it because SO many people are up in arms over it. People are saying it’s like the best thing since sliced bread or something and I just feel like it fell super flat for me. I really wanted to like it, and I could see why other people liked it but I struggled really hard to get invested with anyone and that’s crazy for me because I’m probably like the easiest person to please when it comes to reading. This book makes you think so much. Its so sad, frightening and honestly so fucked up but its amazing. In a way its unbelievable and there are some flaws but I love the way its written and the plot is so incredible.
