Right this might be a short review because I can't think of things that I can say that won't be spoliersSo this book is a goldmine for any paranormal type book fan. It includes lots of different creatures from vampires and werewolves to Fairies and warlocks. Also the main creatures of the book, shadow hunters. They all live in Idris normally which is a country that's between France and Germany. but they live in cities and stuff in the mundane (human) world, to fight of demons from different worl ...more

I love this book! I normally do not write reviews but for this book I had to. I can not stop ranting about this book. I love the characters and everything. From the moment I read the first sentence I was sucked in. I can't wait until the movie. I hope it is it good as the book. Can't wait until the next book. :) I absolutely love Clary as well, I have a serious crush on her and I love everything about her. ...more

This book was so great. Cassandra Clare had me from page 1. She didn't just write a book, she created a whole new world and allowed me the opportunity not just to read about it but to inhabit it. With her considerable skill, I not only visited HER version of NY, I also got to smell it and taste it and feel it. The detail and storytelling were second to none.
I can't wait to start the next book in this series! ...more
