"Paris is always a good idea."- Audrey Hepburn
Setting:Paris, France and Atlanta, Georgia; 2010
Coverly Love?:Yes! I love the cover changes the publisher did with these books. Pink is my favorite color, and the scene of the Eiffel Tower is just gorgeous.
Plot:Anna Oliphant (occasionally called Banana Elephant) is having the worst year ever. Her father

I really loved this book but I never felt completely attached to the characters ettiene was swoon worthy but not as much as he could be it was fairly predictable I loved all the sights Anna saw in France but I didint think Anna was all that special I don't like the way Anna ran away from her problems and how easily influenced she was like when she got drunk and wore a short skirt for no reason it was very entertaining and I related with the characters but I didint feel exactly what they felt but

It seems everyone has read this book and has raved about it. I went into the book overhyped, and I wasn't disappointed.
Positives:
-Normally in contemporaries, the story centers around normal events that bore me. However, in Anna and the French Kiss, there wasn't a dull moment. It was such an entertaining read.
-I see why everyone is in love with Etienne St. Claire. He is definitly swoon worthy.
-The setting Stephanie Perkins created is beautiful. I want to go to Paris.
Negatives:
-Since it's a stand ...more

I really enjoyed reading this book and thought that it was a great summer read! The characters were FUN with capital letters and I always enjoyed their bickering and witty comments. The author managed to spin a great story about first love and misunderstandings, and I will be looking forward to reading more books by this author.
