ﻬஐღ You cheeky little monkey! Anna and the French Kiss was absolutely and simply a sweet, romantic, quick and cute read.

I really enjoyed Stephanie Perkin's writing style! And although I thought the book was clichéd and I got a little frustrated, I just easily fell in love with its Parisian setting, the culture, history, and FOOD. I just imagined walking through the streets of Paris with Anna and her friends, going to the movie theatres, and eating delicious Parisian food. FOOD. And SOAP just so ﻬஐღ You cheeky little monkey! Anna and the French Kiss was absolutely and simply a sweet, romantic, quick and cute read.

I really enjoyed Stephanie Perkin's writing style! And although I thought the book was clichéd and I got a little frustrated, I just easily fell in love with its Parisian setting, the culture, history, and FOOD. Like I said, I'd just be too distracted to go to school when there's a beautiful city waiting for for you outside your window. ♥

A really adore Anna. She's quirky, funny, sarcastic, short-tempered (like moi), and real. She acted just like how any other teenage girl would act. ♥ She doesn't want to go to this boarding school, and doesn't see the point of being there. But she meets Josh,Rashmi, Meredith, and Etienne St. Clair(*wink**wink*). I adore the character development in this book. Nothing was too fast, too slow, or just too unrealistic. It had the right amount of sweetness, just how I like my contemporaries, and a lil' dash of EMOTION.

AHAHAA YEAAA....

ENOUGH.

Although I thought the ending was a little bit too abrupt and I didn't find the closure I needed to end the book, I still adore Anna and the French Kiss; Anna & Etienne ♥ , her friends, and even the bitches in her school for some reason... It stimulated my girly mind, broke my heart, made me feel all light and dandy, and embraced me with its teenage hormones.

Jag har varit lite skeptisk till denna boken, tyckt att den låtit lite halvlöjlig och klyschig, så det har tagit mig ett tag innan jag väl började läsa den. Det som vann över mig var alla recensioner som i princip är en enda stor hyllningskör.
Och herregud vad bra boken va! Självklart var den klyschig men det gör mig inte det minsta för denna boken var som en enda stor varm kram som man bara längtade efter att få återvända till så fort jag inte hade möjlighet att läsa den (läs när jag 05.30 i mo ...more

Shelves: not-worth-the-hype, disappointed

Lately I feel I am more critical towards books.. I was really disappointed with this book—I expected cute, fluffy stuff, something similar as Linda Kage's writing—what I got is one or two moments that I laugh, but that's it. Even when Étienne or St. Claire whatever kissed Anna my face was absolutely neutral with no expression.
The reason I didn't like this book is, that Anna was... a bit stalkerish and she think she likes people too quick. And as usual you have your female protagonist who thinks ...more
