I really didn't like this book. The idea was interesting, but the way it was written bored me half to death. I didn't believe in most of the characters, and I did not care for any of them. Whenever someone was being chased, threatened, or died my reaction would be "whaaaatever, just get on with it"... I was a little interested at what was going on, but all the filling that I would have to get through discouraged me, and having to get through five more killed my motivation completely.

If Stephen King wrote a book for teens and tweens, this would be it! I'm typically not a big readier of YA fiction, but this was a monthly selection for one of my book clubs, so I gave it a shot. Initially, I thought that it was going to be a rip-off of King's Under the Dome, but then realized it was written a year earlier. Fast-paced tale with a hefty dose of creepiness. Will definitely read the next in the series.
