What Members Thought
There have been many things written and said about this book, most of them positive so it's hard to know what to say. Okay, I'll start with this. If you are...as I am myself...a die-hard fan of the original Dracula...then you are in for a treat indeed!
This was much better than Dacre's other book Dracula The Un-Dead, which claimed to be the true sequel yet almost completely divorced itself from the original story ( I did not dislike Dracula The Un-Dead, I read it three times.).

I love Dracula, which is why I wanted to read this, and it was such a lovely homage to the original. I didn't know what to expect, as it is actually a prequel, about Bram Stoker's life and its happenings and how it influenced his writing Dracula. It is not a biography, but since Stoker may have truly believed in Dracula, imagines a story to explain how and why.
