I loved this book. Filled with entertaining stories that often keep you on edge of your seat. Many stories and examples are based on surgical worst case studies that have profound life or death consequences. The thesis is in the title. When complex processes are involved, "check lists" are essential asset (even for experts, and especially for experts). Book universally applies to many professions and I've heard it referenced many times in business books. Great essential read. ...more

A fantastic read with an excellent analysis of how to deal with complexity via simple checklists. Very profitable in the pursuit of excellence and applicable to just about anyone. The stories are very interesting and easy to follow.
