This book is action packed. I will say that if you are a grammar snob, you may have some issues. Putting the adverbs/adjective issues aside, this is an exciting book. As with both books and movies, there is a usual disconnect between the pro reviews and the demo audience. The latter will love this book. The Ninth Orphan is a book filled with intrigue from beginning to end. My favorite character would have to be the Ninth Orphan (Number Nine) whom I thought was a riveting individual. His resourcefulness in camouflaging his appearance was remarkable, and unlike the other orphans there was something unique about him.
