Wow. Sorry I didn't read this sooner. Some readers may find the writing stilted and choppy (I did, at first), but once you settle into the journal-like pace of the words, you can really get lost in the story.
Janie's tale is delightfully conflict-ridden, sure to please anyone who thinks YA heroines get everything dropped in their laps.
