Set in the future, Incarceron follows two stories, which become intertwined: a hellish, possibly underground prison from which only one person has ever escaped and a feudal society, which has banned technology. A convict named Finn tries to escape with the aid of the warden's daughter, who is bethrothed to the prince. Fisher leaves much to the imagination of the reader, which you may or may not like. Not as good as Suzanne Collins books.
