I loved it! Five stars from me

The Story takes place in Chicago where the society is grouped under five different factions . Abnegation, Candor,Amity, Dauntless and Erudite. Abnegation stands for Selflessness, Candor stands for truth, Amity stands for peace ,Dauntless for bravery and Erudite for Intelligence and then there are also factionless ,people who don't belong anywhere . A divergent is one who shows more than one traits .For ex: A person may have traits of Candor,Dauntless or Erudite in

This book was also AMAZING! I feel bad for Tris when Caleb leaves Abnegation for Eurdite. I feel bad for Tris's family when she chooses Dauntless. I like Four and how he is kind and caring to Tris. I don't like Eric. I think that Eric is a sick, cold, heartless person who shouldn't be trusted. I hate how Erudite takes over Dauntless and turns them against their own people. I am glad that Tris was able to shut the simulations off and save Four. ...more

In theory, everyone is to live in harmony, but the different factions tend to disagree with eachother and to "war" amongst themselves, although up to now it has only been a w ...more

I really enjoyed this book. Quick read with a fascinating world, engaging plot, and likeable characters. The writing itself definitely is written for teens and youth, but I was OK with that. I will be reading the next 2 books for sure, and now off to watch the movie!

This is set in a world where everyone is divided into five factions: The brave, The selfless, The Truthful, The Intelligent and The Peaceful. Our main character belongs in Abnegation, the selfless but as the choosing ceremony arrives, she has to chose one, Which one will she choose?
