I listened to this on audiobook with Andy Serkis narrating. That in itself makes it a five-star experience! I loved it! I love his reading, I love the story. It's a lot more than what's in the movies, of course, but I feel like the movies stayed pretty true to the important bits, and omg when Serkis narrates the important bits, I get goosebumps! I feel like this is something I'm going to reread a lot!

Though it took me 3 months to finish it, I never read something as amazingly and vivdly detailed and fantastic as this book;

I read LOTR as one book rather than 5, & have re-read it a number of times. I love it & find it hard to concentrate on anything else until I finish it.
